TECH CLUB - Combat Robots

Work with CSC Staff and volunteers to design, construct, and build your 1lb combat robot! Over the course of 5 weeks, you will learn all of the basics to build your very own combat robot with skills such as 3D printing, CAD software, and more! During the last class, you'll get to put your robot to the test! The cost for registration includes all materials and supplies. The program works for a wide range of ages. Children under 7 may be too young.

Pre-purchased tickets for this event are required. Ticket quantities are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. 

• Non-Members: $400
• Members: $350

CSC Members

Members receive discounted admission to this event as part of your member benefits, but pre-registration is required to reserve your spot. Ticket quantities are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Your membership must remain valid throughout participation in the program.

To receive your member discount for pre-registration, select the Register link in the top right corner of the screen to set up your login credentials. Your login email and address must exactly match the information we have on file with your membership. If the information is entered in differently, the system may not recognize your membership discount. Event Details

• Dates: Jan 7, Jan 21, Feb 4, Feb 11 (competition)
• Time: 2-4pm
• Location: Inventor’s Workshop in the Main Arts and Science Building
• What to Expect:
  • Check-in & location – Classes will begin at 2 PM and will be held in the Inventor’s Workshop in the Main Arts and Science Building. It will be most convenient to park on the 2nd Ave side of CSC (circle drive with houses across the street). Enter main, middle door. Staff at CSC’s check-in desk, to the left, will direct you down the hall. It is not necessary to check in with the desk/get an admission sticker at this desk.
  • Preparation & what to bring - Feel free to bring writing utensils and notebooks. Overview of the course and directions for assignments to be done outside of classes will be provided during the first meeting. There is no need to prepare prior to January 7th.
• Tickets: 4 participant maximum per robot, 1 adult required
